I think I would go for David, myself. Yeah his life was a roller coaster, but I can relate to it very well. Of course, that whole adultery thing … I’ll pass. Of course, Hosea would be an interesting on the whole forgiveness in marriage angle.

I would definitely be any character that doesn’t die but just goes to be with God. Here’s two cool dudes that God couldn’t wait to be with:

“Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.”

“Suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.”

Also, Eutychus is pretty cool because his name means “lucky” and Paul brought him back to life after he fell asleep during a long sermon and fell out a window.

The not list:
Saul’s armor-bearer- “When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.”

Eli- He’s not very good at his job and he doesn’t recognize God’s voice very well and he doesn’t do a good job of raising his boys…. and he pays for it.

Judas (not Iscariot)- What an unfortunate name to have after Judas Iscariot does what he does. It’s like someone born in the early 40′s being named Adolf. It’s just unfortunate.

The geresene (sp?) demon possessed man because Jesus heals him and he is left dressed and in his right mind and then sent to tell his family what the Lord had done for him.
