Shay I would agree with your positives. At the very least it was the best book tour I have encountered. It was a book tour that managed to challenge and inspire my faith. That is rare. Unfortunately, trying to bring worship into a book tour through a revival lead by fictional characters with tongue in cheek humor and commercials between acts just removes many necessary components for actual worship.

I want to be sure that anyone listening to the podcast doesn't take our criticism to be negative or demeaning of what they did. I have great respect for what they did.

It will take me more than 10 hours (most of which I was asleep) to process the show fully and it was difficult to reflect on the production at 7:30 am the morning after in a podcast. So here's a little more of my more positive thoughts on the evening:

I was very entertained, inspired and even lifted up spiritually some from the experience. It was outside the box and I like that. I think that at the very least, we should take this experience to be a call to add creativity and fun into our regular worship services and push the boundaries of what it means to proclaim God's Word. It was obvious that these men have a clear understanding of the gospel but also have a clear understanding of the culture and the world in which we live in the 21st century.

Oh, I don't know there were parts of it you would have really enjoyed. When you get a chance you should really read Doug Padgitt's A Christianity Worth Believing, I think you two are kindred spirits.
