I need a reboot
System idles, stuck in perpetual startup
Another day with technology making life easier?!?
Hold on just got IM’d – it’s my BFF – LOL
Phone’s ringing, some obnoxious tune I found clever months ago
Too cheap to pay $1 for a new one
Network crashed, wireless doesn’t feel like freedom anymore
Enslaved, chained, bound, working for the machines
Terminator was right, the machines have taken over
Miss talking to real people, the anticipation and surprise of someone remembering me
Tired of not making efforts to have a relationship, shortcuts create false hopes
Commercials are fading into the recesses of my memory Tivo’d into oblivion
An entire generation whose attention span just grew shorter, immediacy destroying patience
Too many choices, too much access replacing simple pleasures with virtual pleasures that hold no pleasure
Used to think Color TV was cool
Used to write letters
Used to know phone numbers
Used to just need my wallet and keys when I left the house
Time to unplug, drop the leashes that bind
Who am I kidding – the machines have won
Must go back in time, warn the world
If only there were a machine to do that….

You’re right.
Here I am. I spend my entire day on the computer at work, checking email, listening to audios, printing, working on the Web site, blogging on my site and the company site. Then I come home, flip on the TV, and prop open the same computer that I had open all day.
What am I getting ready to do – turn on the PlayStation 2. I need help. Is there a Technology Anonymous I can attend?

The last 3 weeks have been technological nightmares for me. I have definitely spent more time fixing then using the last couple of weeks.

My new cell phone has a time warp option you can borrow… But I don’t know how I’ll get it back from you if you’re in a different time period. I guess you’re stuck.
