Searching for someone else
Do you like you who you are?
When you are alone do you dream of being someone else?
Is you, the real you, enough?
Don’t you want more?
Can’t you admit it?
Aren’t you searching for someone else?
When you close your eyes and dream, do you look like you?
Do you sound like you?
Do you make the same money?
Do you drive the same car?
Do you have the same friends?
Do you want more than you have?
Don’t we all?
Don’t we want to be someone else?
Don’t we want to be something better?
Can you admit it?
Aren’t you are searching, longing, secretly harboring wanton desires to be someone else?
Has your youth escaped you?
Has the innocence of belief long since sagged away, another victim of time and gravity?
Have you left your dreams and hopes in another life?
Or are they still there?
Can you find them?
Can you really become someone else?
Who will this new person be?
Will you be slimmer?
Will you be smarter?
Will you be more successful?
Whose image are you chasing after?
Can you find satisfaction in you?
Can your life be enough?
Can you have enough?
Can you be good looking enough?
Can you have enough money?
Can you avoid fame, money and power and still be successful?
Where are you looking for this someone else?
Are you looking in magazines?
Have you TIVO’d all the right shows to find them?
Have you been online?
They have to be here somewhere?
My better self has to be here somewhere, right?
Can we find this better us in the normal places?
If we could, wouldn’t everyone be a better person?
Is it possible self help books help no one?
Is it possible Oprah doesn’t have the answer?
It is possible that we have no idea what real transformation is?
That’s what we are talking about isn’t it?
Don’t we all want to be transformed?
Who will transform us?
Who made us?
Who knitted us together in the womb?
Who knows the hairs on our head?
Who sees us and smiles with unconditional love?
Whose image were we created in, anyways?
Who can speak into existence light?
Why would we turn anywhere else?
Why would we ever think we could be someone else
without understanding who made us?
Do you know who you are?
Do you know who loves you?
Do you know the great I Am?
Do you want to?
Are you searching for someone else?
Do you want a better you?
Why don’t you turn to the one with answers instead of questions?
Do you know God is longing for you too?
Stop searching, God is waiting.

I am searching for someone else. His name is “the real me”. I only know of one person who knows what he looks like. If you have ever seen him, let me know.
Good stuff Greg.
